Birthday with Grandma Jane (a.k.a. Kitty Grandma)

Aidan and James' mom, (a.k.a. Kitty Grandma) share a birthday, so she came up for a visit on Tuesday for a little birthday dinner. Aidan chose pancakes for his birthday meal. So after we loaded on carbs we went to see "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" at the Minneapolis Children's Theater. James, Jane and i thought the show was pretty funny and laughed the whole time but Aidan sat looking very serious during the entire play. When the show was over he didn't even want to talk about it, and just resumed playing with all his other toys, (and Grandma.) I asked him today if he liked the play, and with the most earnest little tone he said, "Mom, that mouse was very naughty, and we shouldn't watch naughty things, and i do not want a naughty mouse to come to my house." I am glad to know that our parental screening of the books he reads and shows he watches has made somewhat of an impact, but when i questioned him further he still thought "Smash Brothers" a totally appropriate game for him to play! (For those of you who don't know, Smash Brothers is a new Wii game. And according to Aidan, the goal of the game is to "smash your brother!" Nice, huh?)
