Saturday Fun

For some reason we took the very long way home from the movie theater last weekend. The theater is in Edina, and somehow while were debating where we were going to eat dinner we ended up mosying along though Minneapolis and Saint Paul, where we finally decided on Pad Thai . Lately Aidan has been on a rice and chicken kick, so he was happy with our choice! It's funny, whenever we have leftovers of pretty much any kind of meat I just have to pour a little sweet and sour sauce on and he thinks it is the best.

Since we were in Saint Paul, and since I would never want to be accused of wasting gas, I thought it an opportune time to stop in one of my favorite fabric stores. Not that I need any more fabric..... Aidan loves Treadle Yard because they have a toy area in the back for kids to enjoy, and James took a nap in the car. You see, everyone was happy!
The top fabric is toweling. Recently someone gave me an embroidered kitchen towel on the same fabric, and it was so perfect in my kitchen I thought I might try and make a few more.

I also picked up these patterns. Now, in addition to the couple pair of linen pants and sundresses I still want to make before we leave on our trip next week, I want to find time to squeeze in a new bag and a halter top. We will see how that goes..... But aren't they just the cutest?!
