to pass a rainy day. That's right. Let your kid jump in the couch for hours on end. I wish he would break it!
I bought it for $25 at a local thrift store and every time I page through a Pottery Barn catalog I sigh..... and then I call Aidan into the room to jump on the couch again.
But the problem is that old furniture is just made so well! At this rate we will still have this couch when he graduates from high school.

I LIKE it..leave it alone! :)
well, if you ever are in town you can come over for a close-up.... and then you will see what i mean. When i bought it i shampooed it, which totally wrecked a bunch of the soft fibers. I have since learned, (from martha Stewart/my mom) that you clean that velvety furniture by coating it with cornmeal, letting it absorb the dirt and then vacuum thoroughly.I tried it on the chair i bought for James office, and it actually worked great.
