James flies in late tonight so yesterday Aidan and I decided to have one last slumber party, complete with a fort made out of blankets.

Before we went to sleep. I wasn't quite so perky this morning. I'd forgotten how hard wooden floors are.
Quite spacious!
We also decided to make some butter. Aidan wasn't convinced it came from cows, so we had to do a little experiment.
When I was younger we made butter with my Grandpa using cream in a mason jar and it took forever to turn it into butter. The Kitchen Aid was a much better idea!
Patiently waiting.
Packing it into a container.
He drank the buttermilk with strawberry Quick. Pretty healthy, huh???
James loves honey butter and biscuits, so we decided to whip the butter with some honey and make lots of biscuits in anticipation of his return. Well, I should rephrase that. We made some biscuits tonight and bought a bunch of pre-made, flaky, fat-laden Pillsbury Grands for James to enjoy tomorrow. The butter is homeade so i decided to cheat a little on the biscuits. I figured we will be so busy catching up we won't have time to roll-out biscuits, right?????

I promise, it isn't hard to make. you just beat cream past the whipped cream stage until it seperates into buttermilk and butter!
you are such a fun mommy! What a lucky little boy! He is a doll!
