One thing I love about mountains, is that when you climb high enough - up above the tree line - the air suddenly is dry and and so fresh you can almost taste it, like it is a breath from heaven. I love that feeling.
We always drive up Trail Ridge when we go to Estes Park because the view is amazing. You never know what you are going to find when you start the upward journey. Last June when we were out there the mountain was almost blizzard-like, and they were closing the road behind us on the way back down. This year was the first time we have ever been there and had perfectly blue skies. They didn't last long, by the time we headed down the rains were already rolling in, but for that brief time, when we were on top of the world, all we could see was brilliant blue sky and perfect, fluffy white clouds.

Colorado is one of my very favorite spots on earth-more specifically Estes Park! We were there
6 summers with the kids when I went to a teaching
conference at the YMCA camp. It is heaven on earth!
Aidan is so cute. I love seeing pictures of him. He is a lucky boy to have such a great mom.
My new favorite salad is one I ate at Panera's. It is mixed greens, diced pear, dried cherries, pecans, blue cheese crumbles and a balsamic vinegarette.
Try it!
