Probably hard to believe, but this post is about cooking.
Again. I can't help it, the autumn air does this to me every year turning me into a cooking fiend. But this time I have a few pictures of my wonderful cooking demonstrator, so it won't just be boring recipes.

Actually, I don't have an official recipe to give you, we just threw these pizza's together using flatbread, (or pita pockets) leftover grilled chicken, some of those candied onions from the
beet recipe,
blueberry chipotle sauce, cilantro and queso fresco. (the blueberry sauce was in the deli of my local grocer, I am sure you could also f

ind something similar in the marinade section most stores, or any kind of peach or mango salsa would also be really good too.) Under normal circumstances Aidan would
not have eaten these pizza's - he would have turned up his nose had I put some on his plate - but I think because he recognized the chicken, and was in charge of the cheese, he figured they were safe. He didn't even spit out the cilantro, and he usually is able to pick out every tiny spice in his food. I can't guarantee your kid will eat them. I imagine that even though Aidan
knows he likes them, depending on the day, he might still turn up his nose! Oh, the joy of four-year-olds.

Barb asked me to thank you for the bar recipes...they were a big hit at the event she attended over the weekend.
ubnyNaphtali,
I love, love, love your recipes!
Wish that you were here to come our herb group!
I made your malted peanut bars for the ISU game.
They were delicious!
I am hoping to find more beets at the Farmer's Market here in DSM on Saturday.
