Hmmm.....

I had to break the blog-a-day habit eventually, so sorry to all of you who looked forward to daily updates . But let's face it, my life just isn't that exciting. Some days I really had to s-t-r-e-t-c-h my creativity to find something to write. I suppose I could write about my child every day, but the gushing might grow old rather fast. I love him to death, but I can't expect the rest of you to feel the same.

I don't have any pictures to post tonight, but I do have a funny story that might make you smile this weekend.

Today I was at work, in a room with a patient, and suddenly I realized my chest was all wet. I thought it was odd, assumed it was sweat, but I was surprised as I didn't think I was working that hard. Anyway, I was just about to start the procedure when I touched the outside of my shirt and felt some kind of filmy, oily residue on my hand. "Really odd....." but I just assumed that somehow I must have gotten ultrasound gel down my shirt. How - I don't know - but that was the only explanation I could think of. So I apologized to the tech and the patient, started fumbling around with the patient's IV, and then I realize there is something streaming down my chest. Thankfully the patient thinks this is all very funny, and her laughter followed me out the door to the bathroom where I find my water bra has sprung a leak. (And in case you ever wondered, it isn't water filling those little cups!) My patient had a good chuckle, and since they say "laughter is the best medicine," I imagine my little shenanigan was probably the most beneficial part of her entire course of treatment.


I spend lots of late nights in my sewing room with re-runs for a companion, and one of my favorites is the episode of "Will and Grace" where Grace wears a water bra. You can see parts of it here. ( I don't know how to upload video yet!)
