Last week we walked into an Ulta store and Aidan exclaimed loudly, "Wow mom! It smells so good in here! It even smells better than our house and our house smells really gooder!" (His words, not mine)Those words were music to my ears. Many of you probably know that your sense of smell is directly linked to the "memory" part of your brain. (You can read more about it here.) I always have made a conscious effort to smell good, and I try and have our home filled with good smells so that someday when he leasts expects it, a lovely smell wafting through the air will trigger Aidan's memories of a (hopefully) happy childhood. Sounds like thus far, my plan is working!
What does your house smell like?

I could tell you what other people's houses smell like, but not mine. Hopefully not too bad...
Thank you for your well wishes! My race went good, it's over and I had fun. Now I'm in recovery/lazy mode.
