Still playing catch-up

Last weekend, in addition to three apple orchards we took in a few games.
Friday night we went with our favorite neighbors, Bill and Miriam, to the Northwestern College girls volleyball game. Bill coaches basketball and golf so bringing friends along to games is a nice perk he enjoys.

Aidan and Marley weren't really into the game, however they fueled up on Skittles and pop, and then ran the track. I am proud to say Aidan ran at least a mile in about 12 minutes. Really. And that is just when I started counting laps, he had been running long before I really noticed. He even wanted to continue but we had to leave. Is it too early for a mom to wonder about things like Cross Country???? He may not be the fastest kid in the block but lately he runs everywhere. And then back and forth and back again.

In his own words, he's "Getting all my energy out."

Saturday found us at the Gopher Volleyball game, and what a difference from the night before! (Sorry Northwestern!) Since James works at the University of Minnesota we enjoyed some free tickets to both a volleyball and soccer game that weekend. Aidan was just thrilled to see Goldy Gopher. He tells us someday he wants to go to school there too. Seriously. We are too young to be talking about high school sports and college choices! We are still figuring out what grade school he will be going to!

Well, now you are caught up from last weekend. I have plenty of pictures from this weekend, but now I must get back to my sewing machine. Well, not really my machine. Once again mine is in the shop. I break the same part every year, and every year when I bring my machine in they don't believe me, and then every year they call me a few days later and tell me I was right. This time I am just going to have them order two or three of the infamous parts. And maybe I need to start contemplating whether or not I am going to continue this little business, and if so, is it time for and upgrade??? We'll see....
