Weekend outing

These pictures are from last weekend - I know, I am a week behind - and very sorry, but I haven't been able to carve out any time to be on the computer. Not only is it busy sewing season, but I started a new job last week, and I want to make sure I am doing my best. (I moved into management, which opens a whole new world of challenges for me.) And of course there is all the usual business of Aidan and James, and friends and yard work, and my ever-obsessive cleaning and cooking. What can I say, I work best when I feel a little overloaded.

Soooo......enough about me. Lets talk about the pictures. James was out of town last week for a golf, oops - I meant work, outing and Aidan and I decided to go to the orchard with our friends Josh and Megan. We enjoyed a perfectly clear and crisp fall day, and ate apples until we were stuffed.

The kids ran around like crazy, burned off tons of energy and worked up quite an appetite. When Aidan and I were driving home we were discussing what we wanted to make for dinner, and he chose pizza. Now, we have a freezer full of buffalo we bought last winter and need to use up, so I made something for dinner I vowed I would never, ever serve at my house. (Sorry mom!) Homemade pizza with hamburger. (Actually, more like buffalo burger, but let me add it is so much better for you! Lean and high in protein and you cannot taste a difference. Trust me, I am one of the pickiest meat eaters ever!)

Of course, the pizza turned out delicious, and Aidan had so much fun making it, I am sure we will be eating it again sometime this winter. What can I say, at some point we have to admit that we eventually turn into our mothers. I guess that's not such a bad thing, right?

picky meat eater!? do you remember when you were living with rogers and offered to suffer through a moose roast only to have roxanne tell you she'd been serving them all along....
incidently our current favorite homemade pizza is a killer shrimp that tim makes much too infrequently for me.

1. Depends on who your mother is.
2. Is this a new new job or a new job (move up the ladder) at your old job?
3. Lovely, lovely photos. I alway like the ones of Aidan holding hands with ???...sorry but I do not remember her name.
