500th post Giveaway!!!!!

I can't believe that Monday's post was my 500th! I started blogging two years ago, and I honestly wasn't quite sure what I had gotten myself into, and I certainly did not expect that I would still be blogging today.

But I am, so to celebrate I think we need to have another giveaway. Granted- I just mailed the item from the last giveaway....... ( I can't help it, my credit card was stolen so I needed to keep all my little stash of cash for things like milk and eggs people!)

So what I am trying to say, is don't expect an overnight delivery if you win the giveaway. but if you do, know that you will receive a handmade treasure in a few weeks. Okay? (It may be handmade by me, or I may feature some of the beautiful items my aunt is sending from Mexico.)

So to enter - tell me why you enjoy reading blogs. Because if you actually read mine regularly you must have the same sort of blog addiction I do. So it's now time to fess up.

Contest ends November 1st.

(P.s. I found the lovely picture collage here.)

I, too, have your blog addiction.
It is fun to read yours-which I ALWAYS read first, because I have a personal connection to you via your aunt, who is my very best friend.

I enjoy finding out what you have been doing and love your recipes. You inspire me with creativity!

500!! quite a milestone. i read yours to keep up-to-date with life as the kahls live it - always waiting for that next bit to see how aidan is growing and changing. some of your various dilemnas, i have to admit, are just too amusing to miss! (the amusing ones)
blogging in general has become a way to experience life through many eyes. it's fun to check in on those with whom i share interests/opportunities as well as occasional glimpses of lives that are seemingly so far removed from my daily existence but do, in fact, share many of the universal struggles which they describe with flair and humour.
and the ideas!! even if you choose not to accept/try the outlook of others gained by experience and (how did you phrase it?) age and wisdom there is always an opinion out there....

I follow some 100 or so blogs keeping track of them in my google reader!! I love getting ideas...for example there are these amazing skinny jeans at banana republic that ARENT on sale...thus, out of my budget range. So, I knew I could count on the blog community to help. I found a tutorial on how to make adult and toddler skinny jeans from regular boot cut jeans. Now I can try to rescue some old jeans!!

I love seeing what other women are doing an making from all parts of the world.

Plus, I love the fact that there are giveaways and that just from reading a blog I can get stuff for FREE:)

I'm so happy to have stumbled upon the blogging world! I've always wanted to journal, but that takes forever, and this is such a great way to get memories down before I forget! I started mine to keep in touch with my sister while she was over in Hungary, and now my Grandma even reads it. That's so nice. I'm thankful for the many different letters it has saved me from writing and the correspondence guilt is has assuaged ;) I love hreading and seeing what everyone else is up to, getting new ideas, recipes, and even the encouraging reminder that all the other mom's are pretty much where I'm at or have been there. And then there are blogs which I read just for laughs, like awkwardfamilyphotos.com, or SecondStreetResponse for the latest and greatest photo of Hugh Jackman. ((and yes, I'm now revealing my secret that I read James' blog in a shameless ploy to be chosen)(James, when are you gonna post again?! Have you thought about doing a giveaway?)) :)

it's sooo fun reading your blog especially because I can actually hear your voice as you write and often times makes me laugh outloud. you always have a variety of topics (not just girlie girlie things :)) I do like reading about aidan even though you are over sensitive about how much you put on here. Happy 2 year anniversary!!!!

I started blogging so I could keep in touch with some of my family and friends that are out of town. I also like all the ideas I've gotten too!

Congrats on #500! I am addicted to blogging because I can gather a community of support around me with the flick of my mouse. I can find information and encouragement on my faith, being a mom, a wife, a homeschooling mom, a cranky mom, a I HATE TO COOK mom, a crafting mom, a writer, a thrifty mom, a daughter, a friend....there are other women out there with the answers and the hope I need to get through a day. I love to write because it is an expression of all that I have learned through my supportand through the Word and a cry for what I need to learn. Thanks for asking!

I wasn't going to comment since I won the last give-away (by the way, it came yesterday and I LOVE it!), but I didn't want you to think that you had lost any readers so here I am! I started blogging so that people could stalk my life and I could stalk theirs.... ;) Hehe, just kidding. I started blogging for my family and friends that live far away to keep up on our lives. I'm not a stalker! Oh, and should I win again, pick the next person since that wouldn't be fair! :)

I blog to journal our family's life since I can't crack open a scrapbook for the life of me, and have since found new frineds, new ideas, and a bit of adult conversation in my very unadult world. :) Even if it's one-sided, it feels good to just talk...
